northern Thai in Bangkok?

Perusing our collection of Bangkok posts here, I find very few suggestions for finding northern Thai food in Bangkok (I DON'T mean Issan or northeastern Thai food). Is there much to be found there? If so, where--both markets and restaurants? Maybe Hualamphong Food Station, or is that better for northeastern? (It's moved, apparently per Austin's blog, to Kaset-Nawamin Road--where is that? I don't know BKK well enough to figure out).

I'll be passing through Bangkok en route to Laos, but won't be headed up north, and it would be nice to get some of the favorites.
