just had a pretty good burger at cassell's in koreatown for lunch - i don't know if it's the greatest burger in the world or anything like that since i'm not a burger connoisseur, but i can respect the food and the reviews on the wall. one thing was puzzling me though; i couldn't tell the history of ownership of the place... it seemed like mr. cassell guy opened the shop in 1948. but then i saw another writeup that said hymie huberman was the owner for 30+ years. and another blurb that said that helen kim is the owner (i assume she's the owner now, since the place was run by a very friendly korean woman). but i'm still curious and am trying to piece the history together - when/how it changed hands, what happened to mr. cassell, etc. any hounds know more?
