good eats in Hanover, Ontario??

mrsleny Jan 13, 2007 09:22 PM

Hubby has to venture to the wilds of Hanover Ontario for business for a couple of days. Are there any recommended eats? Has anyone been to the Queen's Bush pub?

Thanks kindly!

We've had the chicken wings from Queen's Bush and they were okay. Not spectacular. In Neustadt, about 10-15 km south of Hanover, there's a place called Noah's Inn that's not bad. We ate there once last October and the food was allright. The Grey Rose is supposed to be a great place to eat for a little more upscale dining. Other than that, there's the usual pub fare stuff. Walkerton doesn't have much either - they've got a couple of pubs and are trying to improve their food selection, but nothing I would write home about. Paisly has a cute little place called Chicpea, but that's about a half hour drive nw of Hanover. Will try to think of other places.

Thanks for all the info. Hubby is staying in Hanover and wants to eat near his motel (Travellers Inn). The Grey Rose looks nice but I'm not sure he wants to eat there alone. Any other info on Hanover eats would be greatly appreciated.

      Cheers!
