Breakfast in Montreal

Can anyone recommend a breakfast place with exceptional croissants and cafe au lait. We are staying near McGill. Thanks

  1. McGill Street in Old Montreal or McGill College Avenue (downtown)?
Olive & Gourmando, St. Paul Street, Old Montreal
Downtown: Au Pain Dore (Peel above St. Cath.)has good croissants, good coffee, homestyle jams.
'exceptional croissants' you'd have to travel around town and do your own comparisons - you could start with Duc de Lorraine on Cote des Neiges etc (you can do a search here for others)

    1. I assume you're staying near McGill University. There's a nice little place at the corner of Sherbrooke and Parc called Cafe Imagination. I've never had the croissants there, but have had good brunch food and sandwiches.

      1. At a walking distance on Mc Gill Avenue, Le Cartet is a "food boutique", that serves delicious breakfast. Olive and Gourmando is also a must for "palmier and brownies". Try also Juliette et Chocolat on St Denis for magnificient brownies and crêpes.

        1. I would walk over to the corner of Parc and Prince Arthur. there is a great French bakery/restaurent there that will have great croissants and cafe au lait.

          1. Don't you mean Belgian? La Patisserie Belge.
