Young Thailand moved to the Junction...for now

I went out for a walk and noticed that Young Thailand has moved to the Junction (on Dundas just west of Keele). I got a chicken pad thai lunch special and the pad thai is much better than the other Thai restos in the neighbourhood, including the Friendly Thai. And it was only $6.95 (good size pad thai, 2 spring rolls, small salad, and small soup).

I asked about the move and was told that they are only in the Junction while their downtown location is being renovated.

  1. So does that mean that the Young Thailand location on Church is not operating? Glad to hear it if they're renovating -- that room needed a redo.

    1. The Dundas/Keele area has very slowly changed and benefitted from new enterprises, although the change of pace slow, Young Thailand ought to consider developing this area location as a possible keeper! I am about an hour away, have no relatives, employment, but general thought is that the area is ripe for change and trendiness! Parking a problem to an extent, but a quick stroll reveals some possible ethnic cuisine choices, neighbourhood bar, etc. Having said this, Young Thailand will probably stay if business warrants and yet re-open downtown! The location could be positive to Kingsway/High Paark area residents!
