Am planning a visit the the North End tomorrow. Any wonderful romantic/authentic little gems? Any and all suggestions appreciated.

I really like Sage. It's still small and cozy in the North End. I wonder if it will be able to keep that feel in its much bigger new spot in the South End.

Taranta is fantastic but it is Italian & Peruvian fusion & you mentioned "authentic" so I am assuming you meant purely Italian.

Terramia is wonderful. I also love L'Osteria.

        I second Rabia's.

If you search north end, you'll see thousands of posts.

Carmen fits the bill (wonderful/romantic/authentic/small), as does Terramia.

            I also like Rabia's.

Mamma Maria's is quite romantic - especially if you can snag an upstairs window seat - but it's fairly large. Food's great though.
