I and a guest dined at Chef Keller's French Laundry in Yountville on April 12. It was our second visit, the first four years ago. The prix fixe had risen from $120 to $175, and that's now for all four menus, the Chef's Tasting Menu (which we had), a "Celebration of Spring" tasting menu, a "Tasting of Vegetables," and a 7-course dinner menu. The bill was $645 for the two of us, which included wines (four pairings) and the 19% mandatory gratuity.

The reservation process is a bit daunting, but, if you're a foodie, I urge you to bite that bullet and begin exercising your speed dialing finger!
