Reasonable (Italian) Near Lincoln Center

Anybody know of a good, but reasonable, Italian restaurant near Lincoln Center? I know the area is not cheap, but Fiorello's and Gabriel's are charging $20+ for pastas that don't even sound all that special. That seems like a lot, even for New York. Any other reasonable, but nice options, would be appreciated as well. Otherwise, I think I may go with my fall-back of Compass, which I like a lot. Thanks!

There's always Pomodoro - not too far on 70th/columbus or so.

Of course, Compass is much better overall experience.

I recommend Pomodoro -- nothing earth shattering, but it's solid and very convenient. I also find the staff very nice as well.

It may be slightly farther than the other places you're looking at, but Ralph's, at 56th and 9th, seems to be exactly what you're looking for. Not too bad a walk from Lincoln Center, right down 9th. Simply Italian food; tasty, filling and relatively cheap. The eggplant specialty is very good.

I had a very good meal a couple of months ago at Arte Cafe, 73rd St. bet. Columbus & Amsterdam Aves. You can check their menu at menupages.com. It's fairly inexpensive.
