Extended Restaurant Week?

Are any of the restuarants in San Diego extending their restaurant week specials until January 31st?

I think Oceanaire, Mille Fleurs, and Bertrand's at Mr. A's are extending their SDRW for one more week, but I would call them to confirm and see what their last day for that is.

I saw an ad on American Express (www.mylifemycard.com) that some of the SDRW are offering 15% off your bill is you pay with AmEx and bring in the printed offer from the site. I think you have to search under "San Diego" and "Dining Offers".

Fifteen percent off? NOW they tell us!

Actually, I think I'd be embarrassed to ask for it during restaurant week, inasmuch as the meal is presumably a bargain already. Sort of seems like the mirror image of adding an automatic gratuity.

CAVAILLON in Carmel Valley, which I now consider the TOP of my list for an exceptional meal, that was reviewed in another string 'San Diego Restaurant Week 2007' has a weekly Prix Fixe -$32.00 on Mondays, and that is a VERY generous offering for the fine food they serve. The Menu isposted on the other string. Forgot to ask if it changes weekly or not. I would assume so, but I bet this CHef with his excellent reputation likes to be creative and will use whatever is in season or looks the freshest. I will skip eating out on Sunday nights to take advantage of this fine gourmet relaxed location.

I am willing to bet these Prix's will not last, once they are overwhelmed from being discovered by more locals!

Tell them, that 'nutrition' wet your appetite for an excellent meal, when you make a reservation.

        :)

We also love Cavaillon--their prices for the quality of food that comes out of the kitchen really makes it worth it at full price. Were really bummed when our plans to go there last month fell through!

The Frequent Flyers website have informal and fun type get togethers in various parts of the States and the World. I have been to several in SD, Seattle, etc. Usually includes a meal and cocktails.

I wonder if any Chowhounds would like to meet informally at a place like CAVAILLON for the $32 Prix Fixe Monday Dinner. Just a thought. I guess anyone could just show up to discuss their latest gastronomical experience! It could be more fun, then just having another dinner somewhere.

No, the 15% off is for the period AFTER SDRW (I think the AmEx offer extends to early Feb?).

Do you have the website with the participating restaurants?
            Thank you.

I don't have a website, but read it in the UT. If you read through the posts here: http://weblog.signonsandiego.com/webl... they list the participating restaurants.

The French Gourmet in North P.B is extending their SDRW and it's really worth it! They're in the $30 range and have a whole Maine Lobster on their menu!

Some of the Cohn restaurants are having a 2007 anniversary special for $20.07 each from Jan 14th - 24th:

I am returning to San Diego for work and am again wondering if any of the restaurants are extending restaurant week specials. Unfortunately, I do not arrive until January 23rd and will be staying downtown without a car.

Are any of the restaurants extending their restaurant week specials? Is there a web site I can find out? Thank you!

I just got an email from Wine Vault and Bistro that they are extending.

Considering that each RW has been 'extended one more week due to popular demand' for the past seven years, I'd say it's a good bet it will happen again.
