Where can I get great pasta dishes? Are there any places that make there own fresh pasta?
At Via Emilia, just about all the pasta dishes are made with homemade pasta made by the chef/owner. The lasagna is seriously delicious, and the other pastas are not too shabby either.
Felidia's and Vittorio Cucina are my favorites for fresh pasta.
2 underrated places for comfy, non-fancy meals:
Il Corallo Trattoria on Prince St., SOHO. The dish: Fettucine Pescatore
La Vela on Amsterdam, UWS. The dish: Orchiette with broccoli rabe and sausage (my favorite) or the mushroom ravioli
most of the pastas in lupa are good...but, my long time favorite is there bucatini amatraciana...just simply delish.
Oh Gnocchi with honey braised short ribs and the open ravioli stuffed with butternut squash in a sage and butter sauce at Apizz are UNBELIEVABLE. Literally.
The Ricotta Gnocchi with Sausage and Fennel at Lupa.
I love the clam pasta at Setto Mezzo!
