Cake Decorating Suppliers in the Philadelphia Area
I'm on the hunt for some creative decorating tools, etc. for a cake I need to make in a few weeks. Normally I order most of my decorating instruments online, but I find that I generally get something different than what I was expecting given that I am not able to see the object in person before purchase. The only places that I really know of in the area to get supplies in person are A.C. Moore, as well as a small stand at the Quakertown Farmers Market. Does anyone have any suggestions for any other stores in the area that might supply cake-related things not typically found at the Williams & Sonomas and Kitchen Kapers of the world?
I live in Chestnut Hill and am willing to drive a fair distance (New Jersey, Delaware, etc) if I can find a place that has a great inventory. Thanks in advance!

There is a place right across the bridge, in New Jersey (sorry). It is the greatest and has the biggest inventory that I have ever seen for both cake decorating and candy making supplies. It is called Cannon's Cake & Candy Supplies, at 1027 Chews Landing Road, in Laurel Springs - right off the Black Horse Pike.
They not only have the biggest selection of things, but the girls in there are so very helpful. They always have answered all of my questions and have given me lots of advise on how to do things. And, I would guess that they have 1,000s of candy molds.
They are definitely worth the drive.

In the past, Sears had good cake decorating supplies. But that was years ago.
I took my cake decorating class there back in the day. I have never returned because I always go to Fante's for everything I need.›2 Replies -

Not sure how unusual the supplies are that you're looking for but you could try Fante's in the Italian Market in South Philly.
You can shop before you go on their website and then check everything out in person:›1 Reply -
