<content>I loved the article about drinking chocolate in today's Star Tribune. I've dreamed about drinking chocolate ever since trips to London and Paris last year.

Is there anywhere in the Twin Cities that you can buy drinking chocolate already prepared? I know you can buy mixes at grocery and specialty stores, but I'm looking to just buy a hot cup of drinking chocolate.

Maud Borop's was the only place I knew of that had something like it, but now it's gone.

<content>You know, when I stopped in at Golden River and Fig a day or two after it opened in the old Maud Borop space, the owner told me it was his intention to have a little coffee bar in the back to prepare coffee and chocolate drinks, etc.

I haven't been back to see if he ever got that going, but, you might call over there and see if he did and if he serves hot chocolate.

They certainly have other kinds of chocolate at Golden River and Fig so, it would make sense!

EDIT: by the way, it's Golden Fig and River...I don't know why I always get the name turned about. Is the fig gold? The river gold? What does the fig have to do with the river? It just doesn't stick with me.

<content>Thanks for the info. I love Golden River and Fig. The owner also told me he wanted to have chocolate drinks and I've been asking him for months when it'd be ready. Soon, I hope!</content>

<content>Well, Bravo, not too far down the way on Grand lists hot chocolate on its menu: http://bravobakery.net/menu.aspx

I haven't tried it, but their other beverages have been well-received by Chowhounds... Might be worth a try.
