SF anniversary recs this weekend
We'll be celebrating our 6th anniversary this weekend, and I need your recommendations for where! There are scores of restaurants brought up for anniversaries, so I'm hoping I can narrow these down.
I've gotten to explore quite a bit of the cheap to mid priced tasty eats in SF, but haven't gotten around to doing too much fine dining. We enjoyed our lamb and duck entrees at Boulevard in past, so a menu with a good selection of meats would be great, along with seafood (but not so much unless it's amazing). We've also eaten at Farallon, Aziza, and Absinthe which I've seen mentioned for this topic.
We're looking to spend under $200 for two, and food and friendly service (not too stuffy) are tops over how romantic it is, etc. We'll be coming from the Marina, but anything reachable by cab in SF is fair game. I'm looking at what's available on Open Table, but this could be for any of Sat - Mon nights.
How do La Folie, Firefly, Acquerello, Gary Danko, Incanto, Campton Place, and Fleur de Lys stack up? Other suggestions? Thank you in advance!
Incanto would be a good choice for a balance of food & atmosphere, although the best experience there in my opinion is eating at the bar.
We celebrated our anniversary at Acquerello a few months ago. It was very nice, with excellent matches between wines and food. But as we were having the tasting menu I recall it was a a bit north of $200 for the two of us.
