The Sorry - closed for now sign on the door of Fat Texan's BBQ in Winfield has been joined by for lease signs in the windows. Wonder what's up.

Wei Hong had a temporarily closed because of kitchen equipment failure sign up yesterday.

Pho Star has a sign up Kim Son Vietnamese Grand Opening.

Heard Il Belagio had to change their name, think they shortened it to Belag. Kinda wondered how they were getting away with that.

Anyone know what befell the Thai Buffet at Olive and Ballas?

Anyone tried the new Gelato joints in town?

  1. I think Il Bellagio had to chance due to a legal tussle with the Bellagio in Las Vegas. I drove past there over the weekend and I believe it's Il Bel Lago.

Also, I've tried Gelato di Riso in Warson Woods and also Benitos by Plaza Frontenac. Both are good. I preferred the gelato at di Riso and saw that it's available also at Dierbergs. The only bad downfall to Gelato di Riso is the ungodly long wait for panini. Both times I've been we've had to wait nearly 25 minutes for a sandwich. (It's counter service) And both times the shop's been nearly empty.

    1. I thought the Fat Texan moved to the edge of town or something. I remeber he posted w/ some updated info a few weeks ago. It should be in the archives.

You're right, I had missed that.

      2. I heard a bad rumor that Tony's in Bridgeton burned down. Does anyone know if this is true? I don't get too many chances to check into the area, but I can't really imagine a St. Louis without Missouri's largest omelet.
