They are pretty widely available now. My local Waitrose even carries them

Brindisa always has them both at the Exmouth Market branch or in Borough Market

They should not be too hard to find

Thanks Simon. I will check my local Waitrose this evening--would love to avoid the crush of the Borough market!

Check out Garcia & Sons and De La Fuente in the Spanish enclave at the Ladbroke Grove end of Portobello Road. Garcia definitely sells pimientos de padron. Worth checking out these places for all their other Spanish produce - Garcia is the better known and has an adjoining tapas bar as of a couple of years back but I always preferred the smaller, lesser known De La Fuente and regularly picked up boquerones, lomo, jamon de serrano, jamon de jabugo, chorizo picante etc from there. Very friendly mother, father, son trio running the place.

Sayell's (http://www.sayellfoods.co.uk/) in Hoxton is a great place to get Spanish food. Like Brindisa but much less expensive. Hmmm . . . not sure if they do the padron peppers though. Good line in suckling pigs though!
