Any Food Recs in the Buena Park, CA area?

Heading out to Orange County for a conference in a week; however, staying in Buena Park since even Anaheim motels are outrageous due to huge conference attendance. Although, I guess Buena Park isn't too far away.

Anyone recommend anything in the BP area? All I've heard of is a breakfast place called PoFolks! We eat anything, but ethnic is preferable!

Thanks!

You said anything...how about Portillo's? Great Italian beef sandwich. In Buena Park on La Palma in the Wal Mart shopping center.

I second Portillos' Italian beef sandwiches on croissants.

La Palma Chicken Pie Shop is also nearby.

Sagan, directly across the street from Medieval Times on Beach Boulevard. It's fantastic Korean food.

Po-folks is good, nothing fancy, mostly comfort food. I have had the pork chops with smashed potatoes, real good and their grilled cheese sandwich with some fries. You also have Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant over by Knott’s Berry Farm, been there once and it was pretty good. It’s off of Beach as well. Sorry, but I can't help you with ethnic choices.

What about Park Avenue in Stanton? Check the board -- it gets rave reviews. http://www.parkavedining.com/

I like Athenian's for comforting cook to order hamburgers. They also specialize in mexican food too. It's on the corner of La Palma and Dale right across from an Albertson's and also really close to Portillo's too.

There's also the sorta new Golden Nights on Beach Blvd and Orangethorpe next to Black Angus that serves Middle Eastern fare along with belly dancers? To view not to eat. :)

                7115 Beach Blvd., Buena Park. (714) 228-9730.

For Pizza and Italian food, try Cortina's in Anaheim.

Don't miss their market next door for Italian cookies and canoli.

                  PS They're closed on Tuesday
