Good place for first date

I am looking for a not-too-expensive restaurant I can take a first date to. Preferably, the restaurant would be located somewhere in Cambridge/Somerville, the Back Bay or the South End. In particular, I would be interested in relatively new restaurants that my date and I may never have been to before.

Though not a new restaurant, I'd recommend Franklin Cafe in the S. End. There is often a wait, but if you can hang and have a drink, the dinner is well worth the wait.

I put up a topic about 4-5 months ago about the same thing. Ended up at the Helmand in Cambridge.

Good food, VERY reasonable prices, and I'm still going out with the woman, so it must have been somewhat okay.

There was a thread about this a week ago, maybe Pigalle was the consensus (uh, mabe that was the engagement thread, better look it up!).
