Looking for market/butcher with good beef ribs

Moose Jan 8, 2007 10:26 PM

Typically I find them cut individually at places like Ralph's or Gelson's but was hoping someone might steer me to a plce where they are sold by the slab. Oh, and they have to be fresh - no frozen. Westide and or SFV is fine.
One last thing-these are for slow cook BBQ.

Gelson's and Bristol FArms will special order for you, if given some notice. Or, try the butcher in the Farmer's market at the Grove.

I ordered them on a slab at Whole Foods Glendale. The butcher is Leonard. They were very nice there and they even boned and trimmed the slab of meat. Now that is an awesome roast! Yield 2.5-2.75 lbs per slab.
