Birch Street Bistro

Does anyone know the status of Birch Street Bistro in Roslindale? I went there last Thursday night only to find it closed, mail piled up, and no signs posted. Someone who works in Emack & Bolios across the street told me it had been closed for one week and no one knows why.

The owners took a vacation for the 1st time in alot of years...they are back and open. Nice people...great neighborhood place.

My 2nd time there was very good as opposed to the first where it was just eh. I think it's the nicest space in Roslindale.

very good to know--i haven't been there in a long time and will have to give it a second chance! any particular dishes you'd recommend?

interesting. i walk by there every day but hadn't noticed it wasn't open. i was never a huge fan of the place, though i did like the bar aspect of it (more than the food part!) and always meant to go there just for drinks sometime.
