Acorns in Durham - Brunch that never was

hargau Jan 8, 2007 08:28 PM

We drove 1.5 hours up to Durham Sunday for the Sunday Brunch that sounded great. We got there and they were setting up for a "wedding expo" sorta show. We walked in at 10 and a woman asked "can i help you", we said "we are here for the brunch", she said " not today your not, we have a wedding expo, we will be serving lunch at 11:30"....

So we ended up at some lousy "family restaurant" in durham..

    Young's Family Restaurant??

Yes, pickings in Durham are slim on Sundays. Too bad no one pointed you down to Newmarket.

      Yea that was the one.
I got what they called a buffalo chicken sandwich.
Came out it was a regular pc of fried chicken on a roll. No buffalo sauce, no blue cheese as the menu said. There was a shake or 2 of tabasco sauce on the roll.
