Hello, My friend's new year's resolution was to become a vegetarian, so I was wondering if there is a good Indian vegetarian buffet in Fairfax or Nova. I read about Saravana Palace in Fairfax, and I was wondering what people thought of it. Does it offer more vegetarian choices than Minerva and is the quality comparable? There might be some other options, so I wanted to hear some suggestions. We went to Banjara in Ashburn yesterday for the outstanding lunch buffet, but she didn't think they had enough vegetarian items.

My favorite Indian Buffet ~ It's a tie between Punjab Dhaba at Loehman's Plaza in Falls Church and Jaipur on Lee Hwy. Punjab Dhaba used to be an all vegetarian restaurant, and I think their eggplant is worth the price of admission. Jaipur has a more extensive buffet so may have more veggie choices.

I was at the Bombay Curry Company in Alexandria this Sunday, your vegetarian friend would have loved the fantastic Cabbage Koftas they had on the buffet, there was also some paneer in the butter chicken sauce, potatoes with green peppers though I am sure the hot chickpeas would knock your friend out, they were so spicy as was the chicken in a green sauce. But the custard with mango and banana cooled things off.
Bombay Curry Co does not have a very exhaustive vegitarian selection on their menu but the sunday buffet always has something interesting.
