  1. Sounds like Kinkead's would be perfect. A legendary seafood house, the drinks are sure to please as will the food and service. A short cab ride from Dupont Circle, and worth it.

    1. Don't miss Vidalia (on M Street between 19th and New Hampshire) or Obelisk on P Street (just west of the circle).
For seafood near Dupont, I love Pesce, a hole-in-the-wall with an amazingly tiny kitchen, also on P Street. They have a full bar and don't take reservations but you probably won't wait long on a weeknight.

Hopefully, others can help you out with steakhouses.

      Have fun!

      1. thanks for the recommendations in DC. we are flying into Baltimore and driving to Ocean City, MD on the front end of our trip. any advice on good lunch spot or deli after we leave airport?, or on our journey to Ocean City? thanks!

        1. Lots of good restaurants in the charming historic district of Easton, MD, about halfway between BWI and Ocean City, including a couple of upscale places.
Scossa is Italian and does a great job with local seafood.
The Inn at Easton is terrific. Both get excellent reviews and are considered destination restaurants from nearby cities.
Several others around the Courthouse for simpler, less expensive fare.

Second recommendation of Pesce. Excellent seafood. Good dessert menu.
BLT Steak is new. I haven't been yet but everyone I know who has been has raved.
Morton's and Capital Grille have great steaks and stiff drinks. Would that please Dad?
