Figs in salad, need dressing, add ins

I'm cooking dinner tomorrow night for some friends as a thank you for dog sitting. I made homemade ravioli and which are in the freezer and am planning on doing Marcella's olive oil bread tomorrow. I'd like to also serve a salad. I have mixed greens in the fridge and would like to use figs. I need ideas for add ins as well as a tasty dressing to go with. Ideas??? Can be homemade or store bought. The friends are vegatarians. Thanks in advance!

  1. i'd say some goat's cheese and toasted pecans would go nicely. perhaps with a lemon vingarette?

      1. I second the crumbled goat's cheese and would make a simple balsamic vinagrette adding a bit of raspberry vinegar, honey and a touch of Dijon mustard. Also, sprinkle a pinch of good sea salt on the cut portion of each fig.

        1. I would amp up the cheese to a solid dry bleu, keep the toasted nuts, drizzle a tad of lavender honey around the plate and a few dots of walnut oil. While I would not plate with it, I would have a good balsamic available as well.

Thanks for your suggestions. I ended up doing walnuts, dried figs, gorgonzola, and sliced pear with a honey mustard vinaigrette. It was wonderful and everyone loved it!
