Matzoh Ball Soup near Rockville?

I'm fighting off a cold and need some matzoh ball soup! Is the soup at Woodside Deli in Germantown as good as it was at the Silver Spring location? How is the soup at Parkside Deli? Any other suggestions?

  1. Brooklyn Deli in Rockville on Rt 28 at Travilah Rd. You won't be disappointed!

    1. Although it's been a while, everytime I had the matzoh ball soup at the Germantown Woodside Deli, it was so salty as to be inedible. I am not really a salt-averse guy, so for something to be too salty for me, it must be pretty darned salty. The reason I haven't tried it lately? How many times should someone poke himself in the eye before he figures its time to put down the poker? I used to like the matzoh ball soup at Pumpernickles in Olney, but that is a place that has seen better days.

      1. Thanks for the responses. My dad was driving through Silver Spring today, so he was kind enough to stop at Parkway and bring me some Matzoh Ball Soup. This should be taken with a grain of salt, since I'm addled by cold medicine and was also craving it intensely, but I thought it was great -- tons of veggies and nice, light matzoh balls. It was just what I needed.

Stever500, I've never been to Brooklyn's, but it's quite near my work, so I look forward to trying it for lunch sometime next week.
