  1. Toast on 3rd near La Cienega has great salads. I'm not sure if there are any Wolfgang Puck Express restos in that area, but they have several fantastic salads.

    1. Doughboys

      Joan's on Third

      Tender Greens
      9523 Culver Boulevard
      Culver City, CA 90232

      Damon & Pythias
      Westwood Village

      Coral Tree Cafe
      Brentwood, Century City

      California Chicken Cafe
      Santa Monica

      Literati Cafe, Literati II

To build on Chica's list, here are some on the more pricier side which should be an even "Greater" Salad experience in tastiness (and ambiance for the last 3):

Nagao - Japanese - Santa Monica
          18 different Japanese inspired salads - $4.50 to $9.50

          Javan - Persian - W.L.A.
Appetizer "Combination Platter" - Shirazi & Olivieh salads, plus pickles, grape leaves... A complete meal - $10.95

Spago - Californian(?) - Beverly Hills
It's tough to ignore Wolfgang when he's got 6 "Large" Salads - $16 to $25

          La Cachette - French - Century City-ish
          7 Luncheon "Entree" Salads - $22 to $42

And finally, where does L.A.'s most ambitious, extravangant, over-the-top, ect. salad reside?

          Jaan - French/American - Beverly Hills
          L'Ermitage Hotel
          9297 Burton Way (310) 278-3344

The Forty Five Dollar Salad - Poached Maine Lobster, Fois Gras, Black Truffles, Seared Ahi Tuna, White Asparagus, English Peas, Tear Drop Tomatoes, Artichoke Chips, Homemade Flatbread and Beluga Caviar with Blinis.

No prob! In re to Spago (listed above), I recommend the lobster cobb. :)

        2. Hugo's has good salads too.

            1. For sure the chinese chicken salad at the California Chicken Cafe, I get that for lunch and sometimes for take out dinner at least once a week. Im not sure if it's filling enough to be dinner but since the portions are pretty generous, Lucky Devil's has organic greens and their dressings are very tasty.
