Pardo's Mini-Review

I finally got to Pardo's tonight, and I was very pleased with my meal. My boyfriend and I shared a half roast chicken, rice, canario beans, and yuquitas. The chicken was really well seasoned, moist and delicious. The rice and beans were a little bland. We loved the yuquitas! They were a great variation on the usual french fries, and they came with a mild chili-mayo dipping sauce that I was tempted to eat with a spoon.

The service was very earnest and attentive, and the bill came in at just under $25 including 2 cokes. I will be returning.

This sounds like a winner for food, anyhow. Always searching for good arroz con pollo.
    What's the address?
So we can say, as they say, "Thank you Don Pardo!"

Just got back from a terrific dinner at Pardo. The three of us had a quarter chicken a piece and it was moist and really delicious. The yaquitas were also very yummy and the dipping sauce was definitely the key to the dish.

Our service was pretty terrible, however. I had to ask to be seated as we were totally ignored when we walked in the door. I also took several minutes for a server to even approach our table and several more to get water.

Food is their strength and service is the weakness. I still plan on going back!
