GOT A NEW OVEN TODAY--WHAT SHOULD BE MY FIRST MEAL-I'M THINKING BROILED SOMETHING...

I'm so excited! Turns out my oven was from 1982! I haven't ever used the broiler b/c it scared me. Seemed like a fire hazard.

Thinking for tomorrow night--great broiled shrimp, tilefish, grouper?

All suggestions appreciated. I'm an adventurous cook, if that helps.

    Anyway broilers need to have your full attention to be safe and of all things that prevents over cooking or burnt offerings.

    You may wish to start broiling on a lower, 2nd or 3rd shelf down, to start till you get the hang of it. Expecially for the thicker food cuts.

      1. line your oven with a piece of aluminum foil--easier cleanup in the long run
