I visited Fukuoka (south of Tokyo and Hiroshima) and had soft serve ice cream. So heavenly! I can't put my finger on it but I love the taste of the soft serve I had in Japan! Being back in the states, I haven't been able to find any place which can match it. Anyone have any ideas???

I don't have an answer to your question, but I know the milk in Japan is supposed to taste very different. The cows eat different things, etc. So you might never find soft serve exactly like what you had there; sorry!

I may have found it! I thought it was going to be regular soft serve since the machine was from Taylor.

It was a little foamier and less sweet like most Japanese desserts. Reminded me of if there was a soft serve from Japan this would be it.

Oiwake on the second floor in the Japanese Village Plaza in Little Tokyo.

Went there for a Business Association meeting. All you can eat buffet nothing great but great value for under $10.
