Kennedy's Irish Pub and Curry House

I know reports are mixed, but I need to go there for beer. If I am going to eat, what should we order and what should we stay away from?

I think their Vegetable Korma and lamb curry is good.

I thought their dosas were tasty. However, this was a little over a year ago, so maybe it's changed since.

      Service is definitely terrible though.

My post on this place from about a year ago seems to have been lost. Chinese-owned Irish bar with Pakistani cooks, didn't get very far with questions about the menu. The menu's a mix of southern / Indian and northern / Pakistani dishes, nothing was very good but the southern stuff was worse. Fries were decent.

Good place for a beer, eat somewhere else.

i agree: the indian food was baddish, but the southern item was inedible [and this is
coming from somebody who eats 99cent burgers, so i'm not being a food snob].

i think the "mixed reports" reflects the "mixed" level of intoxication ... the northern stuff
would probably be ok at 1am after some drinking.

i'd think you'ld be better off getting a pizza slice somewhere in the area. there is an
in-n-out not too far away. burgermeister as well, but that probably closes earlier ...
i cannot imagine going to kennedy's before 11pm.

my two immediate candidates for worst indian food in the bay area are:
        kennedy's and naan&curry/telegraph ave-berkeley.

I agree the food is pretty poor in general, and I'll echo the previous comments, the south indian items are to be avoided.

A great beer selection though, with some pretty reasonable prices, especially if you can get there during their happy hour.

I've had good tandoori stuff at the Telegraph Naan 'n' Curry.
