Crumpets

I have an Aussie friend that is desperately trying to find a place to buy good crumpets in NYC. Suggestions?

    Trader Joe's also offers a few varieties and are pretty decent. i love crumpets too.

          yes they are prepacked not fresh never had fresh but had the ones at goe and they were not to bad

            I take it they're prepackaged there then and not fresh baked? I'm not exactly sure what they're looking for, but I want to know what I'm recommending to them.
