Coming at the end of January and watching a matinee show (2pm)at the Music Box Theater 239 W 45th Street. I would appreciate recomendations for a quick and delicious lunch. I know that it is restaurant week so if there is a place close by that I should take advantage of please let me know.

Can you be more specific? What are your favorite types of cuisine? Are you looking to stay in the restaurant week budget? Bringing kids? The more info you can give the better your reccs will be. Enjoy your visit!

No kids, no budget restrictions, love a wide variety of food. We already have reservations at Babbo, Prune, Eleven Madison, Tamarind, Morimoto and L'Atlier. Traveling with a Chef and Pastry Chef. We would love to eat at a "hole in the wall" gem.

Hmmmm. If you like sushi, there is a small but amazing place on 51st Street called Shimizu. It's one of my favorite places in the entire city. Babbo is a real treat but if you want to go the seafood route, you could do Esca which is Batali's Italian seafood place. It's very good with a great wine list. It sounds like you will eat quite well! Enjoy your trip and please report back.
