Flatiron District- Saturday Night Dinner - Good for Groups - Birthday

Any suggestions on something not too expensive that has a decent atmosphere? I am looking for any cuisine except for Indian. Thanks! :)

if you're looking for a good, chowish experience, craftbar (20th and b'way) is a good place for a group. lucy's latin kitchen, (18th street, just east of broadway) has great drinks and a nice atmosphere, but the food isn't life changing (although it's not bad.)

I like Metro Wine Bar on 21st between Broadway and Park Ave. South. I've only been there for lunch, which is very good. Nice salads, very good burgers. Nice space.

My brunch at Punch a few weekends ago was one of the least impressive meals I've had in NYC. Now, that doesn't mean that their dinners aren't good...but the room (tacky), service (could care less) and food that I had (basic training) steered me away from ever returning. It's too bad...the facade of the building is nice.

Punch is not that big, do they have a private room?
I guess it would depend on the group size.

Punch for sure. I was there for a birthday dinner a month ago.

Pipa (I think 19th St), Metro Bar(21st), Giorgios (21st), all just east of Bdway.
