Good Roslindale Takeout?

I second Pleasant Cafe, and would add that their fried clams are surprisingly great and reasonably priced (although maybe not the best takeout food)!

Since the last poster mentioned pizza, I'd put the Pleasant Cafe (Washington St.) up there as one of the better pizza places.

And Imperial Kitchen is the best Chinese takeout I've found in the area -- its not as good as Food Wall (on a good day) but's its consistent and alright.

I'd also put in a plug for the various small markets in Roslindale Square -- Tony's, Bob's Pita, the Greek fish place, and the halal butcher (International Foods?). Its not takeout but its a set of local treasures that is not found many other places.

Second on Yucatan. This is probably our most frequent takeout in Rossie.

Village Fish is good for sushi/Korean and Himalaya on Centre St. in W. Roxbury is great for takeout Indian/Nepali. Sophia's Grotto also does take out, although not during peak hours I think (weekend nights).

Viva Mi Arepa in West Roxbury is great takeout Venezuelan. Call ahead if you're short on time, but it's also a perfectly pleasant place to wait for your order if you're not in a hurry.

On Centre St in West Roxbury, there is Samias. Their chicken kabobs are quite good and I really like their hummus. The only problem is that they close in the early evening (around 7 or 7:30).
