Restaurant with a good wine list near the Oaks in Houston?

Have a meeting in Houston next week, and wondered if anyone knows about a nearby restaurant with good food, and, more importantly, a good wine list?

If you can get over to the Rice Village area, Cafe Rabelais is quite nice and has a 20-something page long wine list. http://www.caferabelais.com/

You'll be in the Galleria area. So very near your Hotel is a Sardinan restaurant named Arcodoro that has a good wine list. And also nearby is Americas, which is upscale South American food. Not a bad wine list there.

A bit further away id Pappas Steakhouse, and they have a massive wine list.

I don't know where the Oaks is but Catalan on Washington is my pick. GREAT wine list especially the Foxen Pinot, the Henri Billot Grand Cru Rose and the Triacca something or other? The small plates really are great. I had 1 large plate of veal cheeks and sweetbread. Very tasty as well.

Sorry, I'm not sure exactly what/where "the Oaks" is. Please be a bit more specific about your location.

Sorry. Staying near what I think is called the Oaks Galleria, near the Oaks Westin. Sorry that I cannot be more specific as I do not know the area. There is a big mall nearby.
