Cloudy olive oil
I had a unopened bottle of Bertolli extra virgin olive oil in my pantry for probably 2 months or less. I opened it and used a little bit a week ago, now the oil looks cloudy. Is it still ok to use? I keep it in my pantry so it isn't affected by heat or light.
Some olive oils naturally have a slightly cloudy appearance, but it sounds like you didn't notice it before, so that may not be it.
how cold is your pantry? If olive oil gets quite cold, it will look cloudy. But when warmed it will look normal again.
Regardless, I think if it doesn't smell rancid, it's still perfect to use.
