The author was interviewed this morning by Terry Gross on "Fresh Air."
He's articulate. When our rock stars only seem to be able to scream "Rock On" and make the devil's horns with their fingers, it's refreshing to find one who is articulate and literate. He and another band member worked a variety of jobs in kitchens before forming the group, including being chefs.
I just about screamed at the radio when he mentioned one of his most favorite places to visit was Schwartz's Deli in Montreal. I visited there in 1995 and it was fantastic.
