ISO Taco Truck/Catering for Hire

Hi everyone
I am looking for an excellent taco truck to cater a lunch the day after my wedding in May. I am aware of a couple posts in the recent past on the LA board so if anyone else has had good experiences I would really appreciate a lead...
Thanks in advance!!

          Hi-
Here are my findings on good taco trucks that cater:
          1. La Taquizza/Ron Gonzalez/ Aracely
          (323) 584-9137
          (323) 864-4818 (cell)
3 kinds of meet, 2 salsa, cilantro, grilled onion, lemons and corn tortilla,
rice and beans. They grill the meat on premises.

          2. Juans Tacos
          (562) 714-8205

Sometimes it takes them a little while to call back, but they always come through.Yes! They catered a baby shower a bunch of us threw last year and they were SOOO good. They pull up in their own truck and set up a whole grill thing. Our party was pretty casual so depending on what you're looking for, I'm sure they do a few different menus
          3. Fernando
          cell (626) 278-6327,
they provide salsa, onion, cilantro, limes, radish, corn tortailla, 3-4 meats, napkins and plates, 4 hours. He cooks medium done at restaurant, he brings a grill and cooks well done. Very nice!
The best is a little market in Pasadena. He told me that he recently did a party in which he took 6 meats and charged $450 for 400 tacos. Call He and his wife Isaura are both wonderful, hardworking people. I love their Al Pastor. Another poster says their carnitas is the best. Fernando and Isaura have a taqueria in the back of a small neighborhood market in Pasadena. They have a cart that they take with them. Their Al Pastor is phenomenal and others have posted that their carne asada and carnitas are the best. I was talking with Fernando a few months ago and he said that he had just done a party where he made 400 tacos (they bring everything with them) and charged somewhere around $450 (or was it the other way around?). Additional items: chicken (he says he uses the thigh meat since it is more moist - my friend loves it), tripas, birria(?), cabeza and probably some others. Such sweet people with great food to boot. Every single person I have taken here loves the food and goes back. It is a gem. The market is located on the northwest corner of Summit and Hammond (1 block east of Raymond, 1 block north of Mountain). Open til 8pm M-Sat; til 2 on Sunday. Cell phone is (626) 278-6327.

I have not used them for catering, but I sure have eaten them (about once a week since I found 'em). I have their store number somewhere at home. Give them a try!
            Congratulations on the upcoming nuptials!

You are most welcome. I just got back from having lunch there. They have Buche (Fernando told me it is Pork Stomach) which I sampled and is actually very good. I may have mis-spoke when I said Birria - but he mentioned that he will also have liver and some other innard this weekend. You can ask him what he has. I believe that he told me he had taken 6 kinds of offerings to that one party we were discussing. Congrats again!
