CLOSED? - Brisas del Caribe on Bway & Broome...

Went by a few weeks ago. They looked closed or under reno's. No sign on door but things looked torn up inside. I had talked to the owner over the summer and he said they weren't going anywhere and when i told him i loved the old counter he said they weren't planning on changing a thing.

Any scoops? I love this place. Really hope it's not closed.

I thought Brisas closed years and years ago. In any case, there's a Dominican place at 236 Lafayette just north of Spring, La Conquita, which I'm told is excellent. I passed by yesterday and though I didn't have a chance to look in, it appears from the outside that they've spruced up the interior and maybe expanded a bit.

Unfortunately, it's been closed for many months. It looks like they are putting in something else, but it's not clear if it's food related or not.

yeah that place has been closed for a long time now, i feel like at least a year.

I am heartbroken that Brisas del Caribe closed. Does anyone know if they are opening somewhere else? I have no good chicken place anymore!

the puerto rican place on lafayette just above prince is better than brisas was. blanking on the name. you cant miss it.
