356560 Wed Jan 03 15:49:01 -0800 2007 0 18 Manhattan 0 2148343 Since I hadn't seen anyone else mention it, I thought I'd let everyone know that Inside, the cozy restaurant on Jones Street, closed on New Year's Eve. We, along with many others in the neighborhood, loved their consistent food and generosity, and always felt at home there. They lost their lease because another restaurant-owner-to-be has purchased the space. To go out with a bang, they hosted a fantastic New Year's Eve dinner party, and absolutely out-did themselves.... from the cocktail hour to dessert. So many of our favorite appetizers and entrees were sent out over the course of four hours. Surprisingly, among the brussels sprouts, short rib and lobster, it was actually a mushroom pasta dish that was my favorite. All the best to Charlene, Lisa and Bill... thanks for so many great meals!
