Any good recommendations for vegeterian options in the Tampa area?
The wife and kids decided to become vegetarians as a New Year's resolution. Sorry, I'm not ready to give up meat just yet. We eat out several times a week, but are now finding it a challenge to find places that can satisfy everyone's tastes. The atmosphere at Consciousness Blossoms in Palm Harbor was just a wee bit too cultish for my tastes. Upidi Cafe in Tampa is quite good if in the mood for Indian and we can take care of the fast-food cravings at Evo's, but are always looking for more options. Any suggestions?

The last time I was in Tampa I ate at the Grass Root Organic Restaurant - http://www.thegrassrootlife.com/ - definitely a throw back to 60's - but the food was excellent particularly the house burger -

Nature's Harvest is a grocery store which has a deli in the back of the grocery store for take-out or eat-in but there's no atmosphere in the place. Nature's Harvest is on MacDill just north of cypress. There is also a Jamaican restaurant on Cypress between Macdill and Himes but I don't know the name. the one time that i stopped in their air conditioner was off and I didn't stick around for the food. hopefully you'll have better luck.

Thanks, must admit that we've found Vietnamese a bit lacking in "kick", but always worth another shot. Actually, we had New Year's dinner at Bylbos Cafe (Lebanese) and everyone was able to find something to their liking. That's been one of my favorites for a good while, but since I go for the lamb I don't really think of it as vegeterian.

If you do like Vietnamese, try Saigon Palace. If you go to the link, scroll down for the menu link. http://web.tampabay.rr.com/rthomp10/i...
Lebonese and Mexican places also do nice meatless dishes -
