Pho Horn was Excellent

Tried Pho Horn in Pawtucket, RI at the Shaws plaza off North Main. I had Pho Xe Lua, wife had a meatball noodle soup. We were both pleased and felt that this place was the best we have tried in the area. They also have the Vietnamese standards Bun (noodle plates), com (rice plates) and Bun Bo Hue. Food and menu appeared very authentic.

This place is at the location of the former Pho Hons 2, with new Vietnamese owners.

I will go back to try more of the menu and will report back.

After 7 years in LA and its incredible vietnamese food scene, my husband and i were feeling adrift in providence until we found pho horn's. we love the bun (the barbecue pork especially), the appetizer crepe is fantastic (but not for take-out; it gets too mushy). last time we tried the deep-fried whole red snapper with sweet and sour sauce and it was delicious. our two year old ate at least a third of the big fish. not expensive, great every time, very friendly service, it's our go-to place.

I've gotten take out a couple times from Pho Horn and each time was very happy with the Pho (with chicken). I love that they give you a mix of hot sauce and satay (?) sauce in a little container to add to the soup when you get home. Also got an spring roll and it was very large, very fresh and very good. Hope this place survives, Vietnamese food was one type of restaurant I really missed since I moved down to Providence from Boston.
