How long does lumpfish roe last?

I opened a little jar of lumpfish roe and used some of it for an appetizer at Christmas. Now I have 3/4 of a jar in the fridge and I was wondering how long it lasts after you open it. Also, if anyone has any ideas about how best to store it I would appreciate some ideas too!

      Website recommends to use it within a week:

      "As a home cook, you are probably going to only find and use canned, pasteurized caviar, which will most likely still require refrigeration. Be sure to read the labels carefully for storage instructions. It will still need to be kept in a cool place up to two months. Once opened, store refrigerated in the tin or bottle, covered tightly with plastic wrap, being sure the eggs are not exposed to air. Consume pasteurized leftovers within a week".
