I suddenly have a craving for some relatively fresh licorice sticks - the natural twigs. I used to buy these little guys at the Rainbow Grocery in San Francisco. Where else can I find them?

If you live in cities outside of the Bay Area, please let me know as well. Who knows, perhaps I will be there one of these days.

Never did see them at Trader Joe's. Never remembered to ask, either.

I bought a small packet of licorice root today at the Berkeley Bowl.
They were sliced thinly into diagonal chips (Cut from a pretty large root, looks like) When you pop them in your mouth, the flavor seeps out easily.

Am having some right now. Yum.
