Birthday dinner for three friends

My friend and I are planning a birthday dinner for our best friend. We are looking at places that are fun, memorable, and obviously serve great food.

We looked at:

Sultan's tent -- bad reviews
Plaza Flamingo - looks tacky from outside

...and that's all we could come up with.

Help?

We are in our early twenties. If there is no "entertainment", that's ok. In that case, we would be going elsewhere for dessert/drinks. (any recs for that one too?)
