We haven't seen them here in the Boston area. But have you tried Trader Joe's? They're pretty good, and an acceptable substitute on workdays, when doing latkas from scratch is just too much work to make and clean up.

I did the home made ones this year and didn't even end up buying Costco's. I haven't tried TJ's but although I'm latke'd out for quite some time now, perhaps I'll pick some up and give them a shot. Are they a year round item or just seasonal at TJs?

Year round--in our TJ's, they're near the frozen waffles and frozen fruit.
Enjoy (in a couple of months, maybe!). Happy New Year!

I have never seen them down here in south florida.....it amazes me that whoever does their shopping/supplying based on demographic doesnt realize that there are a lot of Jewish people here as well as many who keep kosher. It would be nice to have choices on things other than GIANT cans of gefilte fish and/or empire frozen chicken parts. Amazingly, in case someone from costco reads this board, Jewish people do eat other things also and you are missing out on a considerable amount of easy revenue. Palm Beach county Florida as well as northern Cook county and Lake county, Illinois also are lacking in product.

You do realize that the original post is over two years old? Costco rotates through products a lot more rapidly than that.

And even then they frequently feature local products that don't get distributed to all stores.

It never hurts to update, just in case someone from Costco is reading these boards like faleentoby suggests. I saw this at the top of the chain board and my interest was piqued, two years ago started or not.

Speaking of local, my local Kroger (Ohio) does have latkes from time to time in their deli case. They're quite good, actually. Whether they do that nationwide (Albertson's, etc.) or not I have no idea.
