Chinese take out in Seattle??

I've seen some of the other listings for Chinese food in Seattle but I've got a specific question: Does anyone have a GREAT recommendation for Chinese takeout? My old roommate is coming to visit for New year's Eve and it was always our tradition to get Chinese take out and watch old b&w movies that night. I'd love to do it again, but haven't found any great place in my neighborhood. If it helps, I live in Ravenna/Wedgwood. Oh, and my friend is allergic to seafood so sadly won't be getting anything with seafood in it!

Thanks so much, and Happy New Year a few days early!

There is the Black Pearl in Wedgwood. Not great, but good for movie night. I really like the handmade noodles. I do not know if they do take out but I would think that most Chinese restaurants do offer take out. Just don't look for delivery in Seattle.

Would Szechuan Bistro in Greenwood be too far to travel for takeout? I got really tasty takeout there with a friend a few times.

        Hello-
Actually Black Pearl in Wedgewood does deliver as does Snappy Dragon. Again, not fabulous but both are adequate when the mood strikes and you don't feel like driving down to the ID.

        Happy New Year!

Alot of people like Snappy Dragon. Take out is supposed to be better than eating in cuz of always a long line.
          Anyway, here's web site:

I don't know if this is too far for you to travel, but at the suggestion of someone else on this board, I tried Jack's Tapas Cafe - Mainly Chinese (52nd and the Ave., in the U District) last night and thought it was very good. Delicious hand-shaven noodles, excellent eggplant, and the sesame/scallion layered bread was unlike anything else I've eaten.
