In downtown Hartford there's a Morton's, and Max Downtown serves steaks, as does Hot Tomatoes near the train station. Hot Tomatoes is primarily an Italian place - I've never tried their steaks. South of the city is Ruth Chris and Carmen Anthiony's. I prefer Mortons to those two. I would also recommend J Gilberts in Glastonbury.
