If you are nearer to Burbank, try the Monte Carlo Deli/Pinocchio's on Magnolia. They have a great Italian deli and supermarket, with squid ink pasta, and many other kinds I have never seen before, anywhere.

You can buy it at Surfas in Culver City.

Il Pastaio (another in the Drago family of restaurants) also has a very nice Risotto Nero

I believe Drago in Santa Monica has some good squid ink in their seafood risotto. Happy eating!

Are you looking for a dish in a restaurant, or fresh pasta to cook at home? La Buca serves an awesome squid ink trenette.

Thanks!! What is Trenette? A type of pasta? And where is La Buca?

Trenette is wide flat pasta, not dissimilar to tagliatelle. I often fantasize about La Buca's version!

La Buca is on Melrose - here is the website
