Fresh sardines, don't you love them?

Whenever I stumble upon fresh sardines I get few pounds at least. I love them stuffed with garlic and simply grilled - just divine that way. Another quick and delicious way is to roll them with shishitou and just fry them à la tempura. The problem is to find a steady supply.

Occasionally, I get them at Wholefoods but I wouldn't mind finding a place which has fresh sardines available all the time if not most of the time.

Is there a seasonal importation of fresh sardines? And if there is, would any one expand on when is the best time of the year to get them and where?

thx - Bundi

~~~bon appetite~~~
    Not sure of the seasons but I recall Peter at Roslindale Fish Market( great source ) mentioning they come from Portugal on Tuesday and Thursday. I would also recommend New Deal and Courthouse.
      I have purchased excellent fresh sardines from New Deal fish market (on Cambridge St. in E. Cambridge), but I'm not sure about consistent availability, as I don't make it there as often as I should. Call 'em up and ask; they're extremely helpful.
