Katys Kreek in Walnut Creek-Mediocre at High Prices

Extensive menu, breakfast all day to full dinner options might be the problem here. The food is just not well prepared and absolutely no attention to detail...cold greasy potatoes, over done omelette with crab a few days too old, potatoes and mayo is called potato salad. Service is fair, the server never checked back to see how we were doing, once the food was put on the table. With a Starbucks on every corner in Walnut Creek, not a good thing, says this Peets fan; you would think they could at least serve a decent cup of coffee. Plaza cafe in Pleasant Hill a better less expensive option for a tasty breakfast or good quick cafe lunch, but stop at Starbucks next door for your coffee before entering, their coffee could use some help too.

  1. Sadly, I agree.

Went there for my daughter's birthday after enjoying Katy's Corner in San Ramon for years.
Thrilled, actually to have something other than Plaza and Millie's for breakfast past 11am.
What we got was poor service, cramped tables, cold coffee, raw french toast (just how do you manage that one) three wrong order at one table for 7 and well, just a bad experience.
I'm sad that it hasn't improved since then.
